Playgroup class: For children aged 3 to 5. The “Learning through play” program aims to teach Mandarin (including Pin Yin) and Chinese culture through activities that interest children of this age- singing songs and story telling.
Phonetics class: This class focuses on Chinese pronunciation and is for students aged 5 years and above. Through interesting games and stories, students study traditional Chinese phonetics. Children will be encouraged to develop their creative abilities.
Elementary class aims to teach students Chinese at a level comparable to that of grades 1 and 2 in Taiwan. The text book used is “Living Mandarin”. Special class notes tailored to Australian needs are also utilised.
Upper Elementary class aims to teach students Chinese at a level comparable to that of grades 2 and 3 in Taiwan. Textbooks published by Liu Chung Culture Co. Ltd are used in class. Furthermore, special class notes tailored to Australian needs are utilised.
Intermediate class aims to teach students Chinese at a level comparable to that of grades 4 and 5 in Taiwan. Chinese textbooks granted by Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission are used as well as Kang-Hsuan textbooks.
Advanced class aims to teach students Chinese at a level comparable to that of grades 6 and 7 in Taiwan. Chinese textbooks granted by Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission are used as well as Nan-E textbooks.
Pre-VCE class is designed for students who intend to enrol in the following VCE programs in the future: Chinese First Language CFL, Chinese Second Language CSL or Chinese Second Language Advanced CSLA. This class focuses on strengthening students’ Chinese language skills prior to formal enrolment in VCE programs.
VCE class is qualified and authorised to teach VCE Chinese. This class provides VCE Chinese Second Language CSL and VCE Chinese Second Language Advanced CSLA. UNIT 1, UNIT 2, UNIT 3 and UNIT 4 are all available. Our VCE teachers are passionate about, and committed to, educating students and will offer excellent support.
